An increasing number of new developments are taking environmental protection and enhancement seriously. Architects are striving to improve the environment through golf course construction. Importantly they are striving to ensure that benefits to the environment, and the avoidance of negative impacts, are planned and designed as part of the development. No longer can we simply allow care for the environment to come down to that which occurs accidentally.

We highlight some of the more recent developments to have had a positive effect on the local environment, not just because of the ground they are built on, but because environmental issues were carefully considered and planned at every stage of the development process.
